Since being retired in June 2018, Maple has become an Pet Therapy Dog who works for Hills Pet Buddies. Through the wonderful care and management of her new owner Sandra Merhi, Maple has achieved small miracles visiting Aged Care patients at many local centres throughout the Hills District. Many of these patients suffer from Dementia, are recluse and / or have a fear of dogs. With the help of Sandra, Maple has successfully broken down all these barriers with all patients she has come in contact with. 

Maples amazing ability to transition from a show dog, to brood mother and now in retirement, as a therapy dog, has done wonderful work bringing much joy and happiness to the older members of our community.
